Rowan

Rowan is a large, 14 year old, indoor cat who was surrendered  when his owner moved. Rowan is  affectionate and outgoing, gentle and mild mannered. This big boy adores receiving love and attention, and really wants to be in someone's home. He has been at the shelter too long. Rowan will meow at you and gaze longingly into your eyes until you  pet him. He’s good with anyone of any age. In his last home Rowan lived with a Yorkie, but he’s not crazy about other cats.

Rowan is Sponsored by the Cameron family.

Sherbet

Sherbet, who is not quite a year old, came to the shelter as a stray. She was found wandering on a road, with a jar on her head. Maybe because of her rough early start, Sherbet is a very shy, easily frightened cat. She is also extremely sweet. In her foster home, Sherbet alternated between being fearful, and loving the attention she received. She did best when she was limited to one room where there was no place to hide, and she loved being petted when there. If she has the run of the house, she disappears quickly and hides, so she would need to be kept in limited space. Quick movements make Sherbet nervous, but she would enjoy having the company of friendly cats, whose company helps to make her feel happy and secure. Sherbet’s favorite toys are balls (especially ping-pong balls), and stuffed mice. Whoever adopts Sherbet  should understand that it will take time and effort to make her feel at home, and that she needs to be kept in a single room where she can’t hide. That said, she is an extremely sweet and loving cat.
