"You can't change the world by adopting one animal,
but you can change the whole world for that one animal."

Koosh

Koosh is a shorthaired male who is on the shy side. Yet he's very affectionate when he feels secure. He loves belly rubs, and he gets along well with other cats.

Koosh is not at the shelter. Because he's shy we'll try to adopt him from his foster home.

Kumar

Kumar is a three year old, long-haired boy who has always been an indoor cat. He is as good-natured, gentle, and friendly as he is handsome!

Unfortunately, Kumar developed  respiratory and eye infections, which could have resulted from the stress of shelter life. He is currently in a foster home while he is being treated and recovering.

Kumar would be a wonderful, affectionate pet!! He loves catnip, scratching pads, and chasing fish-pole toys. He’s a fairly quiet cat who doesn’t meow much, but he enjoys and seeks human company. Because he is susceptible to stress, a fairly calm home might be best for him.

For more information, or to meet Kumar in his foster home, email: volunteers@mansfieldshelter.org

Lilac

Lilac is a quiet, affectionate, indoor cat who was surrendered because her owner is ill. Lilac loves to be petted and brushed, and rewards you with a very big purr. She would do well in a quiet, adult home.

Melody

Melody and Rhapsody are two year old, indoor females who were surrendered together. Melody is outgoing, friendly, and seeks attention. Rhapsody is on the shy side until she gets to know you. They would like to find a home together, if possible.

Onyx

This five year old female has a wonderful, affectionate and tolerant disposition. Yet luck hasn't been on her side. She was adopted from the shelter in December, but returned quickly because the resident cat would not accept her. The adopter said that Onyx was a great, affectionate cat and was not the cause of the problem. Onyx gets along with other cats, and was originally  surrendered with five other cats.

The second adoption for Onyx, in January, also resulted in a return because the woman who adopted discovered she is allergic to cats.

Come see Onyx at the shelter and you'll fall in love with her. You'll probably find her in the playroom, getting along very well with the other cats.

Oreo Truffle

Oreo Truffle is a large, beautiful, long-haired, three year old boy who has been an indoor cat, and who has lived with other cats. He was surrendered because of his owner's health issues.

Pookie

Pookie is a sweet, gentle, and quiet young cat who likes to be petted and held. He would make a loving lap-cat, especially for a senior citizen.

Pookie is sponsored
In Memory of the Cat, Elvis.
