Hedwig

Named after the most loyal owl in the wizarding world, our Hedwig may not deliver your mail, but he will deliver nonstop kisses.  Hedwig is the definition of affectionate. He thrives on human connection and will happily curl up next to you for a nap, lean in for belly rubs, or snuggle in your lap (even if he’s a little too big for it!). Whether you’re watching TV, working from home, or just relaxing, Hedwig will be right by your side—your built-in cuddle buddy and best friend.

Don’t let his love for lounging fool you—this young guy still has that puppy spark and loves to play!  Whether it’s zooming around the yard, going for walks, or tossing around his favorite toy, Hedwig is always up for a little fun. He would thrive in an active home where he can get daily exercise and engage his curious, energetic mind. He’s eager to learn, eager to please, and always eager to make you smile.  Hedwig is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and ready to find his forever home. If you’ve been searching for a magical friend with a Gryffindor heart and Hufflepuff loyalty, Hedwig is waiting for you. Adopt Hedwig today—and discover that the best kind of magic is a dog’s love.

Rolo and Lakota

We feel it is time to reintroduce two of our beloved shelter dogs: Rolo and Lakota!  You may have seen our earlier post, but these boys have come a long way in the 8 months since they were  found wandering in the Cabot Industrial Park in Mansfield.  We now believe they were likely dumped by someone who couldn't see the diamonds in the rough.  Rolo (Husky/Shepard mix) and Lakota (Shepard) are still somewhat timid around new people, but they have let their fun-loving, goofy, co-dependent selves shine for shelter volunteers to see.  They enjoy wrestling and chasing each other around the yard, playing with toys, chewing on ice, and generally acting like most young dogs act.  Since we have gotten to know them better, we believe Rolo is closer to Lakota’s age and guess they both may be around 2 years old.  They MUST be adopted together because like peanut butter and jelly, they just wouldn’t be the same if apart.  Also needed would be a fenced in yard and some patience!  Come and meet our entertaining duo of doggy fun!!
