Adoptable Kittens
Adopting a Kitten - Please Read
Kittens require extra veterinary care. They will have received their first of three distemper shots by the time they are ready for adoption, but adopters will be responsible for taking kittens to a vet for 2nd and 3rd distemper shots, rabies vaccination, and spay/neuter surgery. In addition to the $200.00 fee to adopt a pet, the shelter is required by law to take a $40 spay/neuter deposit fee. When the owner has his kitten spayed or neutered, he may send a copy of the paperwork to Mansfield Shelter Friends at P.O. Box 25, Mansfield, MA 02048 and request a refund of the $40 deposit, or leave it as a donation to our veterinary expense fund.

Links to Information You Should Know When Applying to Adopt a Kitten:
Consider adopting two kittens. They keep each other company, and are a delight to watch when they play together.
Kittens available for adoption have received the 1st vaccination in the kitten series.
Perazzi - adoption pending
Perazzi is a short hair female who is part of a litter that was born at the end of August. She has received the first vaccination in the kitten series. Perazzi is sweet and affectionate.
Brandy Lynn and Marylou
Brandy Lynn and Marylou were trapped outdoors and then they spent a few weeks in a foster home to be socialized. They are still learning to be around people, so they are timid and shy. They will need a relatively quiet home and a patient owner who will continue to work to socialize them. They probably are not a good choice for a home with young children, but a home with a friendly cat could be helpful.
Brandy Lynn and Marylou were born mid-May, and they have received most of the kitten vaccinations.
